I think we're skipping a step somewhere…

1 Apr

Last night when Nolan and Hubs were outside playing, it became apparent to us that sending our child to a Lutheran daycare and preschool is definitely exposing our child to the Bible and teaching him some important lessons about Jesus and God. That’s important to us, and we’re glad that he’s learning Bible stories and, more importantly, that they seem to be lessons that are sticking with him.

However, I think something is getting lost in translation.

Nolan: “Daddy did you know that Jesus died and took all of our bad things away?”

Hubs: “Yeah buddy, do you mean sins?”

Nolan: “Yeah, sins. Jesus died and took all of that bad stuff away.”

Hubs: “Yep, that’s right, good job!”

Nolan: “Jesus died and took all my bad stuff away so that means I don’t have to do timeouts anymore!”

What a great kid! He learned the lesson and applied it to his own life – very smart! And very sweet. 🙂
